NEW! Before and After Workshop Care is available on request:
before care runs 8:30am–10am for $21/day, after care 5pm–6pm for $15/day (flat rate per stay). Children may bring toys, iPads, and extra snacks. To book, contact Elaine at 0400 489 129; invoicing is separate from workshop bookings. This service is exclusively for children enrolled in our workshops. This service must be pre-booked.
About our Spring 2025 Workshops
We are using books are inspiration for creative themes these school holidays. We encourage students to bring their own books that might also go with the art they do!
Monday 29th Sept | 10am to 1pm: Bottles & Axolotls
An imaginative art workshop painting & designing a glass bottle filled with secrets hidden inside! A special axolotl craft character will be made, and we will draw an axolotl too!
- Glass painting skills & tips.
- Drawing, craft creations and design.
- Add happy secrets, puzzles or adventures inside your bottle.

Monday 29th Sept | 2pm to 5pm: Sculpti-Noodle.
An 3D building workshop using pool noodles and a whole lot of creativity. Students will learn about design concepts, balancing their noodle sculptures and lots of other fun tips & tricks!
- Sculpting from pool noodle foam.
- Learn about assembling and gluing of foam.
- Make fun animal characters and your own totem sculpture design.

Tuesday 30th Sept | 10am to 1pm: Foil Fusion Robot.
A fun foil drawing, embossing and foil antiquing designing robot artworks. Go on an art making robot treasure hunt to explore adaptations in your artwork and how to change and alter your art.
- Make Intaglio Foil embossing picture of a robot.
- Draw, designing and collage skills.
- Explore altering, adapting and changing your art while playing a robot treasure hunt!

Tuesday 30th Sept | 2pm to 5pm: See My Adventure
A drawing and relief art workshop. Create a relief portrait of yourself with glasses. Inside the glasses reveals your super adventure and with maybe some hidden adventures too!
- Drawing, craft and relief building skills.
- Creating a picture inside glasses and more hidden pictures inside your artwork.
- Art laying techniques.

Wednesday 1st Oct | 10am to 1pm: Monster Colour Palette
A colour mixing and matching workshop with watercolours and ink. Create a series of fun monster characters in jar drawings, each linked with different emotions into a single art piece.

- Exploring matching colours / feelings to different colours & cute monsters.

Wednesday 1st Oct | 2pm to 5pm: Hungry Fabric Art Collage
A collaging workshop working with scraps of fabric. Learn how to do fabric applique techniques with fabric and glue on board. Learn about adding shadows and highlights to your fabric art.
- Working with fabric skills including cut and ripping fabric.
- Design and art planning skills.
- Learn about fabric adhesives.

Thursday 2nd Oct | 10am to 1pm: A Slice of Ombre Cake
Draw and painting workshop exploring colour tone. Creation cake artworks filled with lots of colour from lightest to darkest.
- Painting & drawing cake pictures.
- Learn to mix different shades of the one colour.
- Learn how to achieve colour tone with pencils and paint.

Thursday 2nd Oct | 2pm to 5pm: Aquatic Whimsy Watercolour
A fun loose ink drawing and watercolour workshop, where we will learn the stamp and paint method to design an aquarium of fish painting filled with big fishy characters!

Friday 3rd Oct | 10am to 1pm: Scrappy Scratchy Cats
Painting with cards, palette knives and squeegees! Design a cat artwork and an abstract artwork by scraping and scratching – no paint brushes allowed! And we will draw some scrappy cats too!
- Painting with unusual tools. Paint by scraping and scratching, not brushing.
- Visualization techniques and art planning skills.
- Colour matching and mixing observations.

Friday 3rd Oct | 2pm to 5pm: The Art of Black & White
A workshop all about drawing in black and white. Building drawing skills and observation skills about drawing detail, shade, tones and texture found in black and white illustrations.
- Creative thinking about picture composition and setting.
- Learn to draw texture, tone and more.
- Creative thinking using the mixing of elements from other media to create your art.

FREE lunch time supervision if coming to 2 workshops on the same day.
(Students bring their own food & drink for the day, plus encouraged to bring book / toy / computer to play with during their lunch time)
